What do you mean Free Software?

WPFolio, like WordPress, is Free Software under the Gnu General Public License (go ahead and click on the link, as legal documents go, it’s fairly straightforward). It basically ensures the following freedoms:

  • The freedom to run the program, for any purpose
  • The freedom to study how the program works, and change it to make it do what you wish.
  • The freedom to redistribute copies so you can help your neighbor.
  • The freedom to distribute copies of your modified versions to others. By doing this you can give the whole community a chance to benefit from your changes.

So enjoy WPFolio and WordPress, modify it, change it, and use it however you like. If you find it valuable, please consider donating.

Woah! Great theme you guys! I’ve been researching to find the best options for a lot of artists I run into and this seems like a great one. Very informative video on the GPL too. I should have seen that long before now..
    THANKS!

Woah woah woah! Thinking about leaving a comment? If it starts anything like "How do you…" or "I can't figure out..." then head over to the WPFolio Support Article and read through it. Posting on WordPress Support is usually a better idea.

If you're going to post a comment, consider making a donation at the same time.
